Beautiful, surreal and otherworldly. These are the words that come to mind when viewing Canadian photographer Steve Richard’s ‘Obscuro’ series featuring underwater images of nude models and dancers.
While these portraits have a sinister tinge about them, the contrast between light and dark in Richard’s painterly images evoke a chiaroscuro effect that complements his subjects’ serene body language and delicate flowing fabrics.
The photographer is currently raising funds on Kickstarter to turn his series into a hardcover book.
