Artist Stitches Delicate And Elegant Embroidery Patterns Into Different Leaves

New York-based artist Hillary Fayle takes leaves and stitches embroidery patterns into them.

The leaves are coated in non-toxic preservative to make it more resistant to tearing. Fayle then stitches delicate patterns onto the leaves using various techniques. The artworks are then framed upon completion.

According to Fayle, she tries “to use renewable, sustainable and environmentally friendly materials for her art”, hence her choice of leaves as a medium.
