Nike’s incumbent agency Wieden + Kennedy has recently uncovered their very first few ads for the sportswear brand.

These ads are titled “Nike Evolution”, “Trophy”, and “Co-Op All Sports”. They were aired on October 23, 1982 during the New York City Marathon. These are also the first national broadcast ads Nike ever aired.

Two out of the three ads had been lost for decades, until the agency’s digital librarian, Phoebe Owens, with the help of Nike historian Scott Reames, as well as David Kennedy, uncovered the old and priceless spots.
