To give us an idea of what it was like to work in a creative office during the glamorous Mad Men era, Herman Miller has created a four-part animated series that illustrates fascinating stories about working at the famed studio, as told by former receptionist Hilda Longinotti.

Titled “The Hilda Stories”, the series is animated by Damien Florébert Cuypers and produced by Hello Design. Featuring narration by Longinotti herself, these animated films offer a rare and intimate glimpse into the “world of wonders” that came with working for legendary architect and design director George Nelson in the 1950s.

In this series, the stylist ex-receptionist—who is now 80 years old—talks about how she got a job at the Herman Miller office and memorable incidents, such as how the entire staff played hooky to send Nelson off at the airport.
