Billboard Doubles As A Temporary Home For Artist

As part of an advertising campaign for creative agency Scribe Marketing, Mexico-based architect Julio Gómez Trevilla has designed a billboard that doubles as a temporary home.

Simply called ‘Billboard Home’, an artist can be hired to live inside the temporary apartment while they work to complete an artwork on the billboard.

The main structure is made from steel, while the home’s interior is covered with chipboard sheets lined with plastic film.

To prevent the unit from heating up, there is a wooden roof design that separates the home—providing shelter from the sun during the day.

The temporary home has a bathroom, shower, dressing room, a kitchen, a bed and a workspace for the artist.
